Understanding and Responding to Self-Harm

Self-harm is an increasingly common issue that parents are often challenged by.
This presentation gives delegates the opportunity to hear national trends and
statistics as well as evidence based strategies to approach the topic of self-harm.
Parents will also learn the psychology behind self-harm, where to refer to and what
to do if they suspect their child is self-harming. It also focuses on self-care strategies
and ways we can encourage young people to manage stress and negative feelings.
